Functional Description
The following sections describe the cPCI-6615 Series features
and functions.
3.1
Processor
The cPCI-6615 Series supports the Intel® Atom™ Processor D525
built on 45-nm Hi-K process technology. The processor is
designed for a two-chip platform as opposed to the traditional
three-chip platforms (processor, GMCH and ICH). The two-chip
platform consists of a processor and the chipset and enables
higher performance, lower cost, easier validation, and improved
x-y footprint.
1. The highest expected sustainable power while running known
power intensive applications. TDP is not the maximum power
that the processor can dissipate.
2. The maximum supported operating temperature.
