1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
The cPCI-6615 Series is a 6U CompactPCI single board computer
in single-slot (4HP) or dual-slot (8HP) width form factor featuring
the Intel® Atom™ D525 processor with ICH8M I/O Controller Hub.
The cPCI-6615 provides single channel DDR3-800 socket-type
memory up to 4GB, integrated graphics on the CPU, IDE Com-
pactFlash slot, and 2.5” SATA drive space shared with one site.
Front panel I/O includes 3x USB, 3x GbE, 1x COM
(RS-232/422/485 selectable) for the 4HP cPCI-6615 model, and
additional 1x USB, 1x COM (RS-232 only), 1x P/S2 and 1x VGA
for the 8HP cPCI-6615D model. Onboard I/O includes 1x 7-pin
SATA connector, 1x CompactFlash slot and 1x PMC site (not
available concurrently with 2.5" drive).
The cPCI-6615 provides the following I/O to the optional Rear
Transition Module (RTM): 1x VGA (switched from front panel), 2x
GbE (switched from front panel), 6x USB, 1x SATA, 2x COM, 1x
PS/2 KB/MS, High Definition Audio and SMBus signals routed
through the J3 connector; LVDS from the Intel® Atom™ processor
and 5x GPIO pins from ICH8M routed through the J5 connector
(available I/O dependent on RTM model).
The cPCI-6615 Series is ideally suited for factory automation,
machine making, transportation and other industrial applications.
