2. Pull cam lever back and down to lock grass

catcher on mower. This automatically opens

— rear discharge doors on mower. See figure 15.

To remove the grass catcher, unlock the locking

lever and lift off the grass catcher.

BREAK-IN INSTRUCTIONS

This mower should be broken in foilowing the pro

cedure described below. The added effort here
will double the service life of the unit. Particular
attention should be paid to the drive assembly ad

justment.

Before starting the engine, iubricate ali the

bronze bearings on the drive shaft. The same
oii which is used for the engine may be used
for this.

Check drive assembly adjustment. Refer to

step number twelve under assembly instruc
tions.

BEFORE STARTING

1. Follow “Break-In Instructions.” See above.

Fili sump with oil, using a high quality

detergent oil classified “For Service SC, SD,
SE or MS.” Use SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 viscosi
ty grade oil. Nothing should be added to the
recommended oil.
