2. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

TOA's FS-7006PA (600 W) and FS-7012PA (1,200 W) are power amplifiers designed for 100 V line and high
impedance applications. By mounting an optional YA-7000 module in the power amplifier and connecting it to
a standby amplifier, the power amplifier can be automatically switched over to the standby amplifier if the
power amplifier fails, allowing broadcasts in progress to continue uninterrupted.

3. FEATURES

• A built-in limiter circuit limits current flow if there is an electrical overload, and a protection circuit that detects

the voltage and current disconnects the output if there is a short circuit. This protection circuit also
disconnects the output if the amplifier's internal temperature rises significantly.

• Front volume control offers convenient output volume adjustment.

• Control input can bypass the volume control mounted on the front panel to allow "Urgency" announcements

to be broadcast at maximum sound volume regardless of volume setting.

• Continuously variable air-cooling system adjusts fan speed according to the temperature in the amplifier's

heat sink. This variability ensures that cooling fan noise is minimized as much as possible under normal
usage conditions.

4. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

• Keep input cables away from output cables. Installing both cables too close to each other can potentially

generate unwanted oscillation.

• Never connect 2 or more amplifiers to each other through their outputs, as this could cause the amplifiers to

fail.

• To clean, be sure to first switch off the amplifier power, then wipe with a dry cloth. When the amplifier is very

dirty, use a cloth moistened in a neutral cleanser. Never use any volatile liquids, such as benzene, thinner,
and chemically-treated towels, since the amplifier surface could be damaged.
