7. CONNECTIONS
7.1. Speaker Connections
When using the power amplifier without a YA-7000 installed, connect the speakers as follows:
Step 1.
Switch off the amplifier power.
Step 2.
Remove the amplifier's speaker output terminal cover.
Step 3.
Connect the speaker cables to the speaker output terminal.
Notes
• The speaker output terminal is designed for high impedance/100 V line applications. Be sure to
connect high-impedance speakers.
• The total rated power input for the speakers must be less than the amplifier's rated output power.
Connecting speakers that exceed the amplifier's rated output power could cause equipment failures.
Step 4.
Replace the terminal cover.
WARNING
The TERMINALS marked with the symbol
are HAZARDOUS LIVE.
The external wiring to these terminals requires installation by an INSTRUCTED PERSON.

7.2. Volume Control Bypass Control Input Connections
Announcements requiring particular urgency (such as emergency broadcasts) can override the normal volume
control on the front of the amplifier in order to be heard at maximum sound volume. To set up this function,
connect a switch to the volume control bypass control input, and the broadcast can be output at maximum
sound volume as long as the control input is closed.
Note
Switches used with this function must be the type designed for the withstand voltage of at least 24 V DC and
contact capacity of at least 10 mA.
