Station Protector Modules
Installation Note
Description
1. The tii 122/122-1/122H/122H-1 Series Station
Protectors modules may be installed in a wide
variety of station protector and network
interface housings. They may also be used as
indoor station protectors when attached to a tii
B1 Mounting Adapter.
2. The modules are self clearing and generally
require no maintenance. Because the wiring
terminals are an integral part of the protector
module, the entire self-contained unit must be
removed and replaced when it reaches its
“end of life” condition
NOTE
National Electric Code Requirement. The
protector shall be installed per National
Electric Code ANSI/NFPA 70, Article
800, Section C, and shall meet all
applicable local safety codes.
These modules shall be installed in NID
enclosures evaluated to the requirement
of UL497
Installation
1. Loosen the nut on the appropriate ground stud.
2.
Slide the surge protector ground clip of under the nut
and washer. Tighten down the nut (Figure 1).
3. Ground the module using a No. 6 AWG solid
copper insulated ground wire. Connect one end of
the ground conductor to the appropriate ground
stud and the other end to an appropriate ground
source (Figure 1).
