The recoil spring and guide are under spring tension and not firmly attached
to the slide. use caution to prevent injury or damage to the pistol. Wear eye
protection.
5. Push the recoil spring guide forward slightly and lift upward from the rear
to remove the recoil springs and guide from the slide.
6. remove the inner and outer recoil springs from the recoil spring guide
and separate.
7. remove the barrel from the slide by pulling upward and to the rear.

- This level of disassembly is sufficient to allow a thorough cleaning after
shooting.
