522 Charging Handle Installation
The charging handle for your new Sig Sauer 552 rifle is located inside the pistol grip.
1. Remove the charging handle from pistol grip by depressing the latch at the rear of the grip and
swing open the floorplate.
2. Push the takedown pin (rear pin) from left to right and swing open the receivers.
3. Slide the bolt rearward until the slot for the charging handle is visible in the slot in the upper
receiver. You need not remove the bolt from the receiver.
4. Carefully slide the charging handle into the slot in the bolt making sure it goes in all the way .
5. Push the bolt completely forward until it stops.
6. Press the buffer forward until it allows you to close the receivers. It will be under slight spring
tension.
7. Push the takedown pin completely to the left.
8. Test for proper installation by cycling the bolt several times. Your bolt should move without
binding.
