For Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
• Install the printer driver and
CD Designer software on the
separate PC that will be used
to create the artwork as
described in the printer user
guide.
• Left-click
START-
SETTINGS-PRINTERS and
then right-click MediaFORM
Spectrum Printer and select
PROPERTIES.
• Left-click the PORTS tab (as
depicted to the right). Select
the File box so that it is
checked.
• Left-click the DEVICE
SETTINGS tab (as depicted to
the right). Change the RLE
Compression line so that it is
set to “Yes” while ensuring
that the Detect Media Change
line is set to “No”. All of these
settings are used by the
Vantage when printing so
ensure that they are adjusted as
needed or the unit will not
operate properly. For example,
when a color ribbon is
installed in the printer, ensure
that the Installed Ribbon line
is set to “Color” and so on.
• Left-click the OK button when
finished to return to the main
properties screen.
• Left-click the OK button to
accept all the modifications.
• Restart Windows NT.
