Connection
Connect the TV aerial cable to input nr
on the Video Recorder.
Connect the cable supplied the
Video Recorder to TV output liYi on the
Video Recorder and aerial input nr on
the TV.
As an extra you can also connect a
Eurocable, If the Video Recorder is
supplied with a Euroconnector. The
connection is made via Euroconnector
EXTERNAL 2 (2C3>).
Press button EXT 2 (20>).
Ask your dealer for the correct
Eurocable.
Connecting the Video Recorder via the
Euroconnector offers the following
advantages:
- increased quality of picture and sound
reproduction.
- easier operation.
- the facility to playback stereo signals.
Important (EXTERNAL 1)
If a Eurocable is connected, the TV is
automatically switched over to the
Video Recorder signal as soon as the
Video Recorder gives a signal (e.g. in
‘Playback’ mode).
Recording from connected sources
Via the RECORDING switch it is
possible to make a recording directly
from a connected source.
With the recording switch you can
choose the signal you wish to record
with the Video Recorder on
Euroconnector EXT 2.
- TV mode: for recording a selected TV
programme.
- Mode 1: for recording the signal of a
connected source on Euroconnector
EXT1.
- Mode 3/4: for recording one of the
signals connected to Cinch input 3 or
input 4.
Select position 3 or 4 with the SOURCE
SELECTION buttons C3*.
For these recording facilities, the TV
has two Euroconnectors and 2 Cinch
input sockets. Both have a Video input
and two Audio inputs (L and R). The
Cinch sockets are on the front.
Searching Video Recorder
’signal
(if the Video Recorder is connected via
the aerial)
Press the playback button ‘PLAY’ on
the Video Recorder. There must not be
a cassette in the cassette holder.
To search for and store the Video
Recorder signal in the memory
(recognisable by a test pattern), you
should perform the following
operations A, B, 0 and D on the TV.
A Opening the memory
• Press button A (^). A programme
number starts flashing in the window.
B Searching Video Recorder signal
• Press button B (0D) briefly. Channel
numbers now begin to run up in the
window. This stops as soon as a TV
picture is received. If this is not the
Video Recorder signal, continue
searching by pressing button B (0:)
briefly again.
C Selecting a programme number
• Select an available programme
number by pressing the plus A or
minus V side of button CH/PR.
D Storing the Video Recorder signal in
the memory
• Press button D «».
Playback of Video Recorder

To playback from a video tape select
the programme number under which
you have stored the video signal.
Operation via the TV remote
control
As long as the button (on the side of
the remote control) is kept pressed in,
instructions can be given to the Video
Recorder (from our range).
For the use and functions of the
symbols, see the Operating
Instructions for your Video Recorder.
The functions of these buttons
correspond to those of the buttons on
the Video Recorder.
