What to do "when"...
The motor starts
and dies immediately Possible cause Remedy
1. Check the fuel. Fuel ran out. Add fuel.
The fuel contains water. Drain the fuel tank and carburettor.
Fill the fuel tank with new fuel.
Incorrect ratio of the fuel mix.
2. Remove and check the
spark plug.
Faulty or dirty spark plug. Replace the spark plug.
Incorrect gap between the electrodes.
3. Check the air fi lter. Dirty the air fi lter. Clogged air fi lter. Clean or replace the air fi lter insert.
4. Take the motor to
a qualifi ed service centre
or to the vendor.
Clogged air bleed valve. Replace or repair the faulty parts.
Clogged fuel fi lter, carburettor defect,
starting defect, clogged valves, etc.
