Adding an Auxiliary Component

Use the VIDEO/AUX input jacks on the back of the Tuner/Amplifier unit to
add a component that provides an additional source of sound into your

system - a tape recorder, CD piayer, VCR, camcorder, or other compatible
device.

• Match the left and right output plugs from the auxiliary component to the

Left (L) and Right (R) VIDEO/AUX input jacks.

The auxiliary components provides a source of sound for both playing and
recording.

NOTE: The ViDEO/AUX input jacks are not recommended for use in connec­

ting a phonograph.

Providing AC Power

• Plug the power cord into an AC power outlet that accepts the polarized

plug, which has one blade wider than the other.

The red STANDBY indicator will light (even though the POWER button is
off) to show that the unit is plugged in and ready to operate.

IMPORTANT: The polarized plug Is an important safety feature. It will fit into

the power outlet only one way. if the plug won’t go into the outlet complet^,

reverse it and try inserting it the other way. If it still won’t fit, contact a

qualified electrician to change the outlet, or use a different 6ne. Do not at­
tempt to bypass this safety feature.

Connecting Headphones

• Connect headphones using the-PHONES jack on the front of the unit.

Connecting headphones automatically cuts off sound to all speakers.
