Bass boost is intended to enhance the quality of sound at low-volume levels.
This option should usually be set to OFF at higher volumes to prevent possi
ble distortion of sound and damage to speakers.

Surround Sound
Use SURROUND to activate the "surround sound” effect. The effective
change applies to all speakers.
• Press the SURROUND button to turn this option on (“SURROUND
SOUND” message is displayed).
• Press the button again to turn the option off (’SURROUND SOUND”
message not displayed).

Selecting the Tuner
Your new RCA system includes a tuner that lets you listen to receivable AM
and FM radio signals.
• To select the tuner, press the TUNER selector button. The display indicates
the tuner’s current setting. For example:

AM can be received from 530 to 1720 KHz. FM can be received from 87.9 to
107.9 MHz.
