■ IN CASE OF DIFFICULTY

WHEN USING SUM-3/AA BATTERIES, ENSURE THE BATTERY
POLARITY AND VOLTAGE IS CORRECT BEFORE PROCEEDING.
No sound from the speaker. No signal can be received.

1. Squelch is closed. Turn the SQL control counterclockwise.

2. T.SQ is activated. Turn the SQL control clockwise past

the detent position.

3. PTT switch of microphone is pressed setting the unit in

the transmit mode. Turn PTT switch off.

No control works.

KEY LQCK is QN. Press I

| key and KEY LQCK key.

1. Microphone jack is not fully plugged in. Insert the plug

2. Poor antenna connection. Connect antenna securely.
