Before using this lens unit, be sure to thoroughly read this Instruction Manual.
After you are finished with this Instruction Manual, be sure to store it in a safe place
for quick reference.
This package includes the following items. Make sure that all of the items are in the
package.

Replacement diaphragm plate
1 each of 4 types (OPEN, F4, F8, and F16; the OPEN plate is initially attached to
the lens)

Installation
Do not use the CA-LH(G) Series in the following locations:

Replacing the diaphragm plate
Fix the lens in place so that it faces up, loosen the ring of the filter attachment part,
remove the front lens element (A), and then replace the internal diaphragm plate (B:
when shipped, the OPEN plate is attached).
Focus adjustment
Loosen the red focus lock ring (C) and move it toward the front of the lens (1). Then,
rotate the front lens element to adjust the focus (2). Lastly, tighten the red focus lock
ring and move it toward the back of the lens to set the focus (3).

The f-stop (aperture) is changed by replacing the diaphragm plate. When this
product is shipped, the OPEN diaphragm plate is attached to the lens, so replace
this with one of the other included diaphragm plates (F4, F8, or F16) as necessary.
To use the f-stop (aperture) in the OPEN mode, use the lens without removing the
OPEN diaphragm plate.

Do not look at light sources through the lens. Doing so may cause
eye damage.

• Locations where the CA-LH(G) Series is exposed to direct
sunlight.
• Locations where the ambient temperature exceeds or drops
below the specification range, or where the temperature
changes rapidly.
• Locations which are poorly ventilated.
• Locations where the relative humidity drops below 35% or
exceeds 85% RH, or where condensations occurs.
• Locations where there are corrosive gas or flammable gas.
• Locations where there are much dust, sodium, or iron powder.
• Locations where water, oil, or chemicals may splash onto the
CA-LH(G) Series.
• Locations where the CA-LH(G) Series may be directly subjected
to vibration or impact.

• In case of transportation, use the same packaging as when the
unit was delivered to avoid damage.
• Take care not to dirty the surface of the lens and do not touch it
with your hands.
• If the surface of the lens is dirty, clean it using a commercially
available lens cleaning kit.

Greatly increases the chance that vibrations will cause this product
to fall off of the camera or will cause the front lens element of this
product to fall off, so install each lens so that it can be used at its
minimum working distance.

other foreign material. Failing to do so may cause foreign material to
