Blower housing and impeller

1.

Remove the nine screws that hold the blower
housing together with a T-25 torx driver. See
Figure 6.3.

2.

Lift the blower cover off.

3.

Remove the impeller:

3a. Remove the spark plug.

3b. Stuff a length of starter rope in the spark

plug hole to block the piston.

3c. Remove the four screws that fasten the

impeller to the flywheel. See Figure 6.4.

4.

Lift the impeller off of the flywheel.

NOTE: Inspect the impeller for any signs of
cracks or damage. Replace if any is found. A
damaged or cracked impeller will turn into shrap-
nel when the blower is running.

5.

Remove the lower blower housing by removing
the four screws with a T-25 torx driver.
See Figure 6.5.

6.

Reassemble by following the previous steps in
reverse order.

NOTE: Tighten the impeller screws to a torque
of 65 - 70 lbs (7.5 - 8 Nm).

7.

Test run the blower before returning to service.
