Intercom
Intercom between the handset and
the main unit
A 2-way intercom is available between the handset and the main unit.
Paging the main unit from the handset
1 Handset:
Press fINTERCOM], then talk.
•The INTERCOM indicator lights.
Main unit:
When the other party’s voice is heard,
answer through the microphone.
• During the intercom, the main unit’s display
will show:

Handset:
To end the intercom, press [INTERCOMl-
Microphone-
Paging the handset from the main unit (handset locator)_______
Using this feature, you can locate the handset if misplaced.
Main unit:

Press f LOCATOR/INTERCOM ].
•The IN USE indicator flashes.
•The handset beeps for 1 minute.
•To stop paging, press
[LOCATOR/INTERCOM] again.
Handset:
Press [INTERCOM] to answer.
Main unit:
Speak into the microphone.
• During the intercom, the main unit’s display
will show:
INTERCOM CALL
Handset: __________
To end the intercom, press [INTERCOM].
[ LOCATOR/INTERCOM ]
and IN USE indicator
During the intercom
• Intercom calls can only be ended by the handset.
• If the handset jjser has difficulty hearing the main unit user, decrease the speaker volume by pressing
[VOLUME] ((V)).
• If two tones sound, an incoming call has been received. To answer, press [TALK] on the handset or
[SP-PHONE] on the main unit. The intercom is ended.
