To Play a NTSC Game on PAL System TV
Follow steps 1 to 2 of TAPE SELECT.

OFF: Normally set at this position.

PAL TV can receive signals from NTSC 3.58
signal source (e.g., NTSC game machines.)
connected to the VCR main unit. However,
when recording, this function does not work.
• When receiving NTSC 4.43 signals, this function does
not work correctly.
5 Press MENU twice to make the on screen display
disappear.

To Change the Rewinding Speed
This function enables the tape to rewind at the 360 times
speed.
Follow steps 1 to 2 of TAPE SELECT.
3 Select JET REWIND.

• Select OFF if you wish to rewind the VCR slowly.
5 Press MENU twice to make the on screen display
disappear.

3 Select POWER SAVE.

This setting makes the display disappear when
the VCR is off.
It will not operate in the Timer standby mode.
After recording all programmed data, the VCR will
go into Power save mode.
This setting does not conserve power when the
VCR is off.

To Select the Sound Mode
(NV-HD630EA only)
Follow steps 1 to 2 of TAPE SELECT.
3 Select MONAURAL.

• Select ON to record the normal sound during a
NICAM broadcast or if the stereo sound is distorted
due to inferior reception conditions.
Press MENU twice to make the on screen display
disappear.
