i 1 If it is set to “Yes”, the player converts linear PCM to 48 kHz
even during analogue output.
Do the following if you wish to take advantage of high quality 96
kHz sound.
Select “No” and connect this player’s audio output terminal to an
amplifier’s audio input terminal with the audio/video cable
(supplied) or an audio cable (not supplied).
;2 When connecting an amplifier (with an optical digital or coaxial
input terminal) which does not contain a Dolby Digital, DTS
Digital Surround or MPEG audio decoder, be sure to select
“PCM” at the “2 Dolby Digital”, “Off” at the “3 DTS Digital
Surround” and “PCM” at the “4 MPEG”, if "Bitstream” is
selected, any attempt to play DVDs (or CDs encoded with DTS)
may cause such a high level of noise that can injure your ears
and damage your speakers.
