Cleaning the Head Roller and Scanning Roller

The head roller in your machine will gradually accumulate dust in the course of regular use. You
should therefore clean the roller periodically using the following procedure.

1. Open the Receiving Unit by pressing down the latch

button on the right side panel and swinging the
Receiving Unit backward. Remove the recording

paper.

2. Wipe the Head Roller (black) gently with a soft,

clean cloth soaked with ethyl alcohol, while rotat

ing the roller slowly towards the back or front of the

machine with your fingers.

3, Wipe the Scanning Roller (white) with a soft clean

cloth with ethyl alcohol, while rotating the roller slow

ly towards the back or front of the machine with your
fingers.

4. Reset the recording paper correctly (see page 62),

then close the Receiving Unit by pressing down on

it gently. The recording paper projecting from the
unit will be cut automatically. Remove this cut
paper.
