Adjusting speaker output level
In order to reproduce the movement of the sound and its clear
orientation, it is important to adjust the output level of each
speaker. Adjust output to the correct levels while listening to the
test signal.
For SA-GX690
TEST
S7 A SPEAKERS B For SA-GX690/GX490
Press A or B to select the
speaker system to be used.
SPEAKERS For SA-GX390
Press SPEAKERS and check
the “ON” Indication lights
up.

^LBY Press PRO LOGIC to turn on
-PRO LOGIC
the Dolby Pro Logic systems
4 v—J and select the desired
mode.
For SA-GX490/GX390
Press SURROUND or
3 STEREO to turn on the
desired mode.
1 Pressing the same button again turns
off the activated listening mode.

The test signai is emitted in the follow­
ing order:
For SURROUND mode
Front speaker--------- Center speaker
(¡eft) I
Surround speakers
(left, right)
■ Front speaker
(right)
The test signai is not emitted from the
center speaker when the center mode
is on PHANTOM.
For 3 STEREO mode
Front speaker--------»■ Center speaker
(left)

VOLUME Turn VOLUME to set the
volume level normally used
for enjoying the source.
CENTER
Press CENTER (-) or (+) or
T] SURROUND (-) or(+) to ad-
just the output level

SURROUND Adjust the output level of each
speaker from the listening position un­
til they are ali identical.
f —I; Decrease the output level.
r-F 1: Increase the output level.

Output level can be varied within a
range of “ 12 dB to -f 12 dB according
to that output from the front speakers.

1. The test signal is output only by the
speaker you are now adjusting and
does not repeat the sequence until
adjustments are complete.
2. Remember you cannot adjust out­
put level of the surround speakers
if you selected the 3 stereo mode
in step 2.
TEST To stop the test signal
Press TEST.
