4.11.1 PING Generation
Use the PING Generation screen to test the connection to a specific IP address. See Figure 37.

PING count (1 to 255, 0 = forever): 0

To use Ping to check a connection, follow these steps:
1. From the Main Menu, type 7 , "Utilities," and press .
1. From the Utilities menu, type 7 , "PING Generation," and press .
2. At the PING menu prompt, set the Ping parameters, and press .
"PING response received..." indicates a good connection;
"TIMEOUT: Unable to reach [IP address]..." indicates a faulty connection.
3. To stop the Ping, press .
4.11.2 Static ARP Table
Use the Static ARP Table to set specific IP and MAC addresses for up to 10 ports. See Figure 38.

To use view, set, or remove an address, follow these steps:
1. From the Main Menu, type 7 , "Utilities," and press .
2. From the Utilities menu, type 8 , "Static ARP Table," and press .
3. At the prompt, type 1 to add an entry or 2 to remove an entry, and follow the prompts.
4. To return to the Utilities menu, press .
