Chemtronics Chemask® HV - High Viscosity Peelable CHV8 User Manual
Technical data sheet, Chemask, Hv solder masking agent
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Chemask
HV Solder Masking Agent is a
temporary, high viscosity, fast curing,
peelable solder masking agent. It is a high
temperature resistant compound that protects
component-free areas during wave soldering.
Chemask
HV can be introduced to the wave
solder preheat within 4 minutes without
adverse effects. Chemask
HV may be used
to protect pins, posts, contacts and edge
connections during conformal coating
processes.
Stable to 515
°F (268°C)
Compatible with rosin, no clean, water
soluble fluxes and cleaning solvents
Leaves no residue
Ready for wave solder in 4 minutes
Dries tack free in 15 minutes
Non-contaminating

COMPATIBILITY
Chemask
HV Solder Masking Agent is
generally compatible with most materials
used in printed circuit board fabrication. As
with any solder masking agent, compatibility
with substrate must be determined on a non-
critical area prior to use. Test compatibility
on bare copper.
