To check the depth of field:
1) First Focus. Then press the shutle* bjtton half
way and read ihe aperture r^umaer v/hich ao*
pears in Ihe ve'/Zindor. Find the
"wo apenure
numbO'S on the deptr>-oMiofd scale on the
*ens v/hich correspond to that number.
2) Draw Imaginary lines from those tvic num
bers to the distance scale. The effectr/e
depth of field lies beiv^een ihoso Iv^o dis
tances. For example, using a standard 50
mm lens focused at 3 m v#^th the aperture set
at ife. depth of f»ed extends from 2 4 m to 4
5
m. Any subject from 2.4 m to 4 5 m av^ay will
be *r reasonably sharp focus.
