Installing and Connecting the Modem
Step 7 Looking at the back of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server, connect the DB25 end (the larger
connector) of the modem cable to the back of the modem. See
Figure 2-29 to see which end is the DB25
end.

Step 8 Connect the DB9 end (the smaller connector) of the modem cable to the COM 2 port on the CPU
transition module in the back of the Cisco Unified MeetingPlace Audio Server. See
Figure 2-29 to see
which end is the DB9 end.
Step 9 Connect the other end of the phone extension cable to its source, which must be a standard analog phone
line, not an extension for a digital phone.
Step 10 Turn the modem power switch to the on position.
