The area is moved on the map.

To adjust the size of the area: turn

The area is enlarged or reduced.

To confirm the change: press W the

COMAND controller.

The list appears and the change is entered.

Deleting a set area

Select an entry in the list by turning cVd

the COMAND controller.

by sliding VY the

COMAND controller and press W to

confirm.

Delete

and press W to confirm.

A query appears asking whether the entry

should be deleted.

, the entry is deleted.

Off-road route memory function

Switching the function on/off

While this function is switched on, an off-road

route is recorded and stored.

Off-road: the section of route is still within

the area covered by the digital map but

does not contain any suitable data, e.g.

because a road has not been digitized.

To switch on navigation mode: press the

g function button.

To show the menu: press W the COMAND

controller.

Navi

in the main function bar by

sliding ZV and turning cVd the COMAND

controller and press W to confirm.

Select

Save Off-road Route

and press

W to confirm.

Select

Save Off-road Route

again and

press W to confirm.

Depending on the previous state, switch

the option on O or off ª.

To exit the menu: slide XVY the COMAND

controller.

Displaying memory usage

When the memory is 90% full, you see a

message to this effect. You will also see a

message when the memory is completely full.

To confirm the message: press W the

COMAND controller.

In order to be able to continue using the

"Record route" function, you should delete

the route memory afterwards.

To switch on navigation mode: press the
