12.3 Feature Connector X9
The feature connector is used to connect the SM-Bus and additional other signals from the SBS
MARS to the powered computer system.

Pin 10: SMBALRT#_OUT:
This signal creates an interrupt when there is a change of the sourcing voltages of the SBS MARS. I.
e. when a battery or the power supply of the SBS MARS is connected or disconnected a low active
interrupt is triggered and after readout of the Alert Response Address (ARA) the interrupt is
cleared. The interrupt is also activated when a Power ON Reset is generated.
The 0Ω resistor R218 can be used to connect the interrupt line from the feature connector. If this
signal is needed. Till now there all programs that are available are polling the states of the Smart
Battery System regularly so that a reaction on a interrupt signal was not necessary yet.
