4. Power Flow of SBS MARS
The SBS MARS consist of four power modules. (See fig. 4)
The system is sourced by the buck-boost converter 1 or directly, when the buck-boost converter 1 is
bypassed. The SBS circuit controls the charging and discharging of the batteries and sources the
output with the available voltages. The dual buck converter creates the 5V Standby, the 5V and the
12V. When there are batteries in use that could drop there voltage lower then 12V, then a second
Buck Boost Converter must be used.
