If a Dataram memory board does not function properly we will issue a
Return Material Authorization number (RMA#) for the return of the
defective module(s) and express ship a repair or replacement to you at
no charge.

DRH8620 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR HP
RP7420, RP8420, RX7620 and RX8620 SERVERS
MEMORY OVERVIEW
Note: Refer to your system owner’s manual for detailed instructions and be
sure to follow all static and safety precautions.
• The HP rp7420 and rx7620 servers will support up to 128GB of
memory.
• The HP rp8420 and rx8620 servers will support up to 256GB of
memory.
• The DRH8620 is available in several capacities and each product
contains four identical DIMMs.
• Memory is installed on one or two (rp7420 and rx7620), or one to
four (rp8420 and rx8620) HP cell boards.
• Each cell board contains sixteen DIMM slots arranged as four banks
of four.
• DIMMs must be installed in groups of four identical modules.
• Each cell board supports from 1GB to 64GB.
• 512MB, 1GB and 2GB DIMMs can be installed on a cell board but
not mixed within the same bank. 4GB DIMMs cannot be mixed with
any other capacity on a cell board.
• For optimum memory interleaving and performance, the memory on
each cell board should be identical (same quantity and capacity).
