If a Dataram memory board does not function properly we will issue a
Return Material Authorization number (RMA#) for the return of the
defective module(s) and express ship a repair or replacement to you at
no charge.

FOR SUN SPARC ENTERPRISE M4000 AND M5000
SYSTEM AND MEMORY OVERVIEW
Note: Refer to your system owner’s manual for detailed instructions and be
sure to follow all static and safety precautions.
Memory for the M4000 and M5000 servers are contained on Memory
Boards. Each Memory Board contains eight DIMM sockets that support
1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB DIMMs.
The M4000 can be configured with two to four Memory Boards allowing for
a maximum system memory capacity of 256GB (using 8GB DIMMs; 64GB
per Memory Board). The M5000 can be configured with two to eight
Memory Boards allowing for a maximum system memory capacity of
512GB (using 8GB DIMMs; 64GB per Memory Board).
Memory for the servers can be expanded in two ways—by adding
additional Memory Boards (populated with 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB
DIMMs) and by replacing DIMMs in existing Memory Boards with DIMMs of
a higher capacity.
