CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE SALTER BRECKNELL 308-BP SERIES PRECISION
BALANCE
The 308-BP Series Precision Balance, available in several capacities, is a large capacity, affordable balance
designed for the classroom, laboratory or industrial applications. The 308-BP features 1:30,000 displayed
resolution, a large, high contract LCD display and digital calibration. Weighing modes include gram (kilogram),
carat, avoirdupois pound and troy ounce. In addition, you may program one additional custom unit.
The scale is available in three weight capacities as illustrated in Table 1-1. An internal rechargeable
battery is available as an option.
Prior to using the scale, please read this user’s guide carefully and completely. Store the manual in a safe
and convenient place so it will be available if you have questions concerning the operation of the scale.
