A development of the top quality CANON 7 with coupled,
highly sensitive CdS meter. Incorporates many improve­
ments and is easier to operate and accomodates the
complete system of interchangeable lenses and acces­
sories. Has world’s fastest lens----------- 0.95.
Recognized as a high performance camera
Type: 35 mm rangefinder type camera with focal plane shutter. Picture size
24X36 mm.
Lens: World’s fastest 50 mm F 0.95 lens (7 elements in 5 components) or
with a choice of standard lenses: 50 mm F1.2, 50 mm F1.4 and 50 mm
F1.8. Interchangeable lenses available from 19 mm to 1000 mm.
Dual Mount: Bayonet mount for 50 mm F 0.95 lens, and screw mount for
other lenses.
Exposure Meter: Built-in CdS meter coupled to shutter speed dial. Working
range from EV 2 to 19 by HIGH/LOW shift. Aperture setting by meter
reading.
Battery Checker: Built-in checker for mercury battery. Power Source: One
1.3 V mercury battery.
Film Speeds: ASA 6—400, DIN 9—27.
Shutter: Metal focal plane shutter, 1/1000—1 sec. and B, T, X plus built-in
selftimer. With safety lock.
Viewfinder: Parallax corrected 0.8X universal mark finder. Bright line
frames for 35, 50, 85, 100 and 135 mm lenses. Coupled rangefinder of
double-image focusing type.
Flash Synchronization: FP and X contacts. Synchronizes with FP, M and
F class flash bulbs and speedlight. Time lag automatically adjusted.
Film Rewind: By rewind button and crank.
Film Counter: Self-resetting type.
Size: 140X81X31 mm.
