To focus in these situations:
1. Either set the focus mode switch to
"L”, iock the focus on a substitute sub
ject, which is at the same distance as
your main subject, and then recom
pose the picture.
2. Or set the focus mode switch to “M"
and focus manuaiiy.
3. Or ieave the focus mode switch on “N”,
compose the picture so that a
substitute subject, which is at the
same distance as your main subject,
covers the autofocus circie in the
viewfinder, press the instant focus
lock button and then turn the camera
to your main subject. You must hold in
the instant focus lock button for as
long as you are filming the special sub
ject.

then locks.
Pressing this button causes
lens to refocus once, then lock.
M (Manual Focus)
Autofocuslng does not work.
No effect.
