“L" Setting of Focus Mode Switch

When you press the instant focus lock

button, the focus unlocks, the camera
refocuses automatically on the subject

once and then locks on the new focus.
When you let go of the button, the lens

remains locked at the new focus. Use this

feature if the subject distance suddenly
changes while the focus is locked and

you want to lock it on the new distance.

The instant focus lock button has no

effect when the focus mode switch is set

to “M”.
