Recording from a VCR or TV
j can create your own video programme by editing with any other □ 8 mm, HiOI Hi8, fiUS VHS,

S-VHS, VHSH VHSC,

S-VHSC, or

Betamax VCR that has video/audio inputs.
iefore Editing
nnect the camcorder to the VCR using the supplied A/V connecting cable,
the input selector on the VCR to LINE, if available.
Set the POWER switch to VTR.
Set EDIT to ON in the menu system (p. 32).
n down the volume of the camcorder while editing. Otherwise, picture distortion may occur.
Insert a blank tape (or a tape you want to record over) into the VCR and insert your recorded tape
into the camcorcler.
Play back the recorded tape on the camcorder until you locate the point where you want to start
editing, then press II to put the camcorder in playback pause mode.
On the VCR, locate the recording start point and put the VCR in recording pause mode.
Press I I on the camcorder and VCR simultaneously to start editing.

Stop Editing
ss □ STOP on both the camcorder and VCR.
You can record a tape from another VCR or a TV program from a TV that has video/audio outputs.
Connect the camcorder to the TV or VCR.
Turn down the volume of the camcorder while editing. Otherwise, the picture distortion may occur.
