ENHANCED SURROUND
Pro\’ides a greater sense of presence from Pro Logic
source with monaural rear channel sound. Produces a
stereo like effect in the rear chaimels.
VIRTUAL REAR SHIFT
Uses 3D sound imaging to shift the sound of the rear
speakers away from the actual speaker position. The
x’lrtual speakers are reproduced as shown in the
illustration below. The shift position differs according to
the setting of the rear speaker position.

VIRTUAL MULTI REAR
Uses 3D sound imaging to create an array of virtual rear
speakers from a single pair of actual rear speakers. The
virtual speakers are reproduced as shown in the
illustration below. The position of the virtual rear
speakers differs according to the setting of the rear
speaker position.
Notes
• Stmu' discs do not Ivn c roai' sound. In this case, \ ou cannot ¿;ct
the 3D surround oifoct.
• When \ oil select an item, the sound cuts off for a moment.
• When the pla\ ing signal dtvs not contain the surround
component, the effects ma\ be difficult to hear e\ en if vou
select “VFS A" or "Vl-S B."
• If vou connect the front speakers onh', ''NOKMAl..

• Set the front speakers to form an equilateral triangle including
the listening position,

• In case that the plaver outputs the signal from DIGITAI. OUT
(OFTICAL, COAXIAL), the surround effect will be heard only
\vhen vou set "DOLBY DIGITAL" to "D-PCM" in "AUDIO
SETUP"
• When you pla\ sound tracks with kH/ sampling frequenc\',
be sure to select "OFF," or the output signals will be converted
to 48 kHz (sampling frequenev). (Except when the player
outputs the audio signal from DIGITAL OUT (OPTICAL,
COAXIAL).)
• When you connect a center speaker and a subwoofer, you can
also hear the sound from the center speaker and the subw'oofer.
When you select "VES A" or "VES B," the plaver does not
output the sound fi om the center speaker.
• When you select "VES A" or "VES B," set the surround settings
of the connected units such as the amplifier to OFF.
