WARNING Relating to Gasoline
Be careful with handing the fuel during the removal and re-installation of fuel line and components. Since it will be
a high fire and explosion hazard risk, always be sure that there is protection and safety equipement around at all
times.
■ The right place for the job is with the following attribute
① A well-ventilated place.
② Make sure that there is no fire risk hazard tools, equipement near the work space
(lighters, electronic tools, welders).
③ Take precautions so that fuel vapors does not fill the work area.
■ Do not use anything that can cause sparks on the job.
① About electrical machinery and equipement.
・ As a general rule, do not use for this type of job or similar.
・ Do not test the pump and/or fuel in a plastic tank.
・ Do not use a drill, grinder and/or welder.
② Preventing sparks during the job.
・ Keep your work place spark free. (ie. Do not use a hammer).
■ Preventing static electricity, safe practices.
① Have a fire extinguisher prepared.
② Prevent static electricity.
・ Keep the floor slip free and free from water.
・ Keep the vehicles properly earthed when changing the fuel duct and components.
③ Keep the fuel separated when possible during the proceedure.
■ Have the fuel tank emptied before commencing work.
■ Take care not to spill the fuel that is left in the piping when removing the fuel lines.
■ Remove any unwanted foreign objects from the fuel tank when possible.

① Remove the fuel pumps coupler.

① Remove the fuel pumps coupler.
② Remove the fuel filler cap to release the internal pressure from the tank.
③ When the engine dies, crank the engine 3~4 times to get the fuel back into the system.
④ Turn the ignition switch OFF, remove the negative terminal of the battery.
