INSTALLATION
CAUTION
■ Install the wiring when the ignition switch is in the OFF position. Remove the battery's negative terminal connector.
■ Install the wiring correctly as shown in the installation manual.
Incorrect wiring can cause a dangerous short circuit.
(1) Remove the floor carpet in the trunk (front lining).
(Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the clip.)
(2) Remove the bolt & nut, then remove the reinforced panel strut tower bar.
(3) Locate and cut the Black/Yellow & Brown (thick)
wire that is in the front right of the trunk room (Fig. 1).
① Connect the black / yellow wires to the fuel pumps side
female connector, the vehicle sides (modulator side)
wires are then to be joined to the male connectors.
② Connect the female terminal to the brown wire on the
fuel pump side, and then the male terminal to the
vehicle side (modulator side).
(4) While referring the basic wiring diagram, connect the
black/yellow (3) to red wire & the brown wire to the
black and red wire on the relay harness.
(5) Connect the power (Red) wire to the battery's positive
terminal. Then connect the 3 black wires to the
negative (ground) terminal.
(6) Secure the relay unit to the bracket that holds the
battery, as shown in Figure 2.
(7) After all the pins are connected firmly, verify all
connections and then place all parts back where they
belong, including the strut tower bar.
Take care not to sandwich the wire.
