CAUTION
■ This product is designed for competition used ONLY. Not to be used on public roads.
■ The original safety standards of the vehicle will change which will make it illegal to be used on public roads.
■ This product is to be fitted by an experienced professional in a fully equipped workshop.
■ Check for any signs of interference with the product during installation.
■ Tighten each bolt with the torque specified with a torque wrench. If the bolt(s) loosens, damage to the engine
may result. Additional problems may arise if the bolts are not tightened to the specified torque specs.
■ Check regularly that everything is tightened and secured properly.
INSTALLATION
1 REMOVING THE CYLINDER HEAD
Remove the Cylinder Head.
Follow the instructions in the vehicles official service manual for more details of removing the Cylinder Head.
2. CHECKING THE CYLINDER HEADS CONDITION
CAUTION
■ Take care not to damage the cylinder head side when using a scraper.
■ Take care not allow any fragments or pieces to enter the oil/water galleries. If it happens, possible
overheating or engine failure may occur.
(1) Remove all Oil and unwanted leftover materials from the old
head gasket, carbon & residue from the Cylinder Head with
a scraper.
(2) Check and measure the cylinder head for any signs of
distortion, on several places in six directions. Machine the
head to correct errors when required. If the distortion is far
too great, please change it for a new one.
3 CHECKING FOR CYLINDER BLOCK DISTORTION
CAUTION
■ Do not damage the Cylinder Block surface when using a scraper.
■ Take care not allow any fragments or pieces to enter the oil/water galleries. If it happens, possible
overheating or engine failure may occur.
(1) Remove all Oil and unwanted leftover materials from the old
head gasket, carbon & residue from the Cylinder Head with
a scraper.
(2) Check and measure the cylinder head for any signs of
distortion, on several places in six directions. Machine the
head to correct errors when required. If the distortion is far
too great, please change it for a new one.
