5.1.3.4 Using PXE Boot Services for Booting the SLES11 SP3 from the iSCSI Target
Once the installation is completed, the system will reboot. At this stage, it is expected from the
client to perform another PXE network boot with FlexBoot®.
Choose the "SLES11.3x64 iSCSI boot" label from the boot menu (See Section 5.1.3.3, “Install-
ing SLES11 SP3 on a Remote Storage over iSCSI,” on page 75).

5.2.1.1 Configuring the PXE Server
Step 1.
Download SLES11SP3-kISO-VPI.tgz from
http://www.mellanox.com/page/products_dyn?&product_family=34&mtag=flexboot
Step 2.
Extract the .tgz file on the PXE server, under the TFTP root directory.

Kernel and initrd for the installation:

kISO installation medium that can be used to boot from instead of booting the installer program
over the network.
If choosing this method:
•
Boot the client into the below SLES11 SP3 iso and proceed with the installation until
the client fully boots up the installer program.
•
Discover and connect to a remote iSCSI storage.
During the installation process you will be asked to insert the original installation medium to
continue with the installation.
It is recommended to download and install the latest version of MLNX_OFED_LINUX
available from
