Cisco 1040 Port Usage
This section provides a list of ports used by the Cisco 1040, for your reference.
1 10/100-1—Ethernet 10/100 Mbps port,
standard RJ45 for connecting to the network
and obtaining inline power.
This port supports IEEE 802.3af standard
PoE.
Note This port does not support Cisco
prestandard PoE.
3 Status indicator light—See Understanding the
Status Indicator Light, page 8.
2 10/100-2—Ethernet 10/100 Mbps port,
standard RJ45 for connecting to a SPAN or
Remote SPAN (RSPAN) destination port. — —
