4.2.3. Read / write parameter target (profile), command „S“ (53h)
This command is for readout the presently active target or for programming respectively reading a specific
target. The data are composed of profile number (2 bytes) and target (6 bytes). Important: Negative targets
come with 5 digits only (see example no. 3).
Example 1: Read active target (current profile number = 12; target = 12,50)

Direct positioning „SD“
This command may be utilized for direct positioning operations with direct programming of a position value.
Only the target less any profile number is transmitted to SPA. The profile number after the command “S” is
replaced by sub command “D” (0 = dimension). Any previously programmed profiles are not overwritten.
Example 4: Write position value for direct positioning (less profile)

Note: The position value is saved in the non-volatile memory and will be retained in case of power failure. In this
case the previously selected profile will be applied again.
If an IVO master is utilized, the target is reset to the previously defined profile value after having quit dimension
mode (DIM mode).
4.2.4. Read / write parameter profile number, command „V“ (56h)
This command is for readout the number of the presently active profile respectively for profile alteration.
