Changing the AF Frame Size ([AiAF] or [FlexiZone]
Selected)
You can change the size of the AF frame to match the size of the
subject. When the subject you are aiming at is small, or when you
want to focus on a particular area of the subject, you can restrict the
area that is focused on by making the AF frame smaller.

• Each time you press the DISPLAY
button, the AF frame settings will
switch between normal and small.
• When the camera has difficulty
focusing on the subject when you
press the shutter button halfway,
the AF frame will display in orange
(when AF frame is set to small).
• Pressing the
button completes
the setting.
• When you set the AF frame to small
in AiAF mode, the LCD monitor
display will appear as shown right.

The AF frame size is set to normal when the digital zoom,
digital tele-converter or manual focus is used.
