Problem Cause Remedy
SPM – reduced capacity. Regenerate the SPM (see Chapter 5.4.4.2,
page 33).
SPM – No (or insuffi-
cient) pumping of
regeneration or rins-
ing solution Leak in the system. Check connections.
Peristaltic pump – contact
pressure too weak. Correctly set contact pressure (see "Set the
contact pressure", page 19).
Peristaltic pump – filter
blocked . Replace the filter (see "Replacing the filter",
page 30).
SPM – backpressure too
high. Clean the SPM (see Chapter 5.4.4.3, page 35)
or replace parts (see Chapter 5.4.4.4, page
36).
Peristaltic pump – pump
tubing defective. Replace pump tubing.
