Intended use
The 850 Professional IC Cation – LP Gradient is used for the ion
chromatographic determination of anions, cations, or polar substances
without suppression in cases where the complexity of the separation
problem requires the use of gradients.
The low pressure mixing valve and two additional eluent degassers in the
lower area of the instrument are used for the controlled mixing of up to
three eluents.
This instrument is suitable for processing chemicals and flammable sam-
ples. The usage of the 850 Professional ICCation – LP Gradient therefore
requires that the user has basic knowledge and experience in the handling
of toxic and caustic substances. Knowledge with respect to the applica-
tion of the fire prevention measures prescribed for laboratories is also
mandatory.
