Note:

The references in the following instructions are from
Controls & Indicators on page 2-6.

• Controls and other items relating to the computer section of the

Industrial Computer are labeled with black numbers on a white
ground.

• Controls and other items relating to the monitor section of the

Industrial Computer are labeled with white numbers on a black
ground.

To establish video connections between the monitor and the
computer:

1. Connect the standard 15-pin connector end of the video cable from

the AC or DC united cable assembly to the Video Output connector

on the computer’s side.

The Keyboard Option

For computers configured with the keyboard option, use the 5-pin DIN
keyboard cable .

1. Connect the female end to the monitor’s Keyboard Out connector

.

2. Connect the male end to the computer’s Keyboard connector .

An IBM AT keyboard may be connected to the front panel 5–pin DIN
connector or to the rear panel Keyboard In connector. .

Only one auxiliary keyboard input port can be used at any time.

If your computer uses a mouse or other input device:
Use a standard RS-232 cable to support a mouse or other device
connected via the Industrial Computer’s rear panel RS-232 ports ( or

).

1. Connect one end of the device’s RS-232 cable to the appropriate

connector on the rear panel of the computer.

2. A cable with captive screws should be used and they should be

tightened to secure it.
