Adding and Configuring
the Add-on Profile in
RSlogix 5000 After installing and setting up the encoder, use the encoder add-on
profile to add the encoder to the project and configure it.
Adding the Encoder to Your Logix Designer Project
1. Apply power to the controller and open the Logix Designer
application.
2. From the File menu, choose New. The New Controller dialog opens.
3. Select a controller and name it.
4. Click Next.
5. Select the slot your controller is in and configure it.
6. Click Finish.
