MAINTENANCE
VALVE REPLACEMENT
Before you begin:
* Shut off the gas supply to the unit.
Disconnect electrical supply to the unit.
Always let the appliance cool to room temperature before servicing.
Remove unit fl ue collars (see section in manual) slide unit out.
1. Disconnect the following from the valve:
1. DC sparker
2. Thermocouple
3.
Thermopile
leads
4. ON/OFF control
2. Disconnect the Gas Orifi ce supply line (5) from the outlet of the Gas
Valve.
3. Disconnect the Pilot Supply Line (6) from the Gas Valve
4. Disconnect the Gas Supply Line (7) from the On/Off Safety Shut off
Valve.
5. Loosen 4 screws (8) that secure the Gas Valve Mounting bracket, slide
bracket up to release.
6. Remove valve from bracket by removing 4 screws (9).
7. Replace valve and reverse steps to reinstall.
