Warning :
Unintended force can be applied to body parts, mounted specimens, grips and fixtures, or
other objects in the crosshead's path.
Unintended force can injure personnel and equipment.
Before you move the crosshead, ensure that the crosshead path is clear and that you
understand how to control crosshead motion using system controls.
Warning :
The grip wedge moves toward the specimen as it closes and can close upon your fingers or
incorrectly grip the specimen when it is not positioned properly.
Closing the grip wedge without providing adequate space for the grip wedge to move toward
the specimen can cause specimen damage or crush fingers and hands.
Before gripping a specimen, close an empty grip wedge to observe how far away your specimen
or fingers must be for the grip wedge to close upon the specimen in the proper location. Keep
fingers clear of the grip face when using the grip control switches.
