Mounting of Shanks, Points and
Shovels
NOTE
It is easier to bolt the points to the shank before mounting
them to the machine
1. Assemble the left hand and right hand shovels to the
shanks with the plow bolts provided inside their box
assemblies.
2. The right hand, three piece type of shovel assembly
is illustrated at right. On all machine sizes you will
have one more right hand shovel than left hand. The
components are stamped “R” or “L” for identification.
3. For assembly of the one piece shovels, bolt onto
shanks with the plow bolts provided.
4. For normal operation the nuts on the spring mounting
should be tightened so one inch of thread is
exposed.
